Sara Hanks has worked as a lawyer for the Securities and Exchange Commission, where she was instrumental in crafting the often-used Regulation S for selling securities, and claims it is named after her (and her colleague, Sam). She is now a CEO and Co-founder of CrowdCheck Inc., a company that aims to advise issuers, platforms, and investors about security laws and help them make informed decisions. She has also worked for the Congressional Oversight Panel.
