It’s been known for some time already that there is no regulation of cryptocurrencies in the UK but crypto businesses providing services with digital tokens must be approved and registered with the FCA for anti-money laundering regulations.
And today we received important news that the lower house of the UK Parliament voted in favor of adding crypto to the scope of activities to be regulated via the proposed Financial Services and Markets Bill – which already seeks to extend payments rules to stablecoins.
