Blockchain Beauty Shop — Michael Synan Kawakami

Blockchain Beauty Shop — Michael Synan from Kawakami

Thursday June 23rd. Written by Michael Neuvirth

Michael Synan

Michael Synan was born on Long Island in 1983 and has lived in Queens, NYC since the early 2000’s. As an undergraduate he studied psychology and philosophy, then got a masters degree in Urban Affairs from Hunter College.

Michael is a long-time opensource proponent and Linux user – and that is what brought him to crypto. He always liked Bitcoin – but Ethereum’s smart contracts interest him the most.

He got involved with Kawakami Inu, the predecessor to Kawakami and eventually made his way up the ranks to become Project Manager.

To give you a few insights into Michael - Intercoin asked him the following 3 questions:

  1. Michael Neuvirth: What is the best advice you have ever received?

Synan: “When I was in high school I was on the wrestling team and my coach had a couple of us do extra workouts before school. He taught me to work harder while my opponent was sleeping and I ended up bringing that work ethic with me to everything else I committed to.”

  1. Michael Neuvirth: What is the best advice you have given?

Synan: “Educating yourself is key, the more you know the better you can navigate any situation.”

  1. Michael Neuvirth: What keeps you up at night?

Synan: “The thought of unfinished work :)”

Excited to be here with the community and I’m looking forward to the Space Thursday! If anyone has questions or thoughts let me know!

I can’t wait to learn more!

Heeey @Kawakami Welcome Aboard! I really appreciated your answers and look forward to hearing you Thursday night.

COOL to see you were a wrestler in NYC. I used to wrestle in Oklahoma and Illinois. You can definitely tell a grappler by the stories they share. It’s one of those Sports that build character.

That’s cool man, yeah it was a demanding sport. Wish I could do the same stuff physically 15-20 years later

Absolutely my brother…but after listening to the show I could easily hear how you’ve carried that work ethic over into Kawakami. LOVED the Show…and how you answered the questions too. Stay on your game plan for the organization…I look forward to following your journey from here on out and THANKS for sharing the links.
